When someone gets into sales they are often instructed to start cold calling to build their income. So they go out and make a thousand cold calls on the phone or by going door-to-door until their knuckles are bloody and their feet are sore.

They do this insane amount of inefficient work because it’s all they know and their employers usually have no plans for marketing or bringing in new prospects to them.

There are so many people who get into sales and have no success at all. This is typically because they are using old forms of prospecting that don’t work anymore and it’s time to change now or continue to be unsuccessful.

I have people still tell me today thought that cold calling works for them and their business. And while I believe you can still make sales by that method that’s not my point. The issue is time. For example you can drive across the country in a car but if you could take a plane you would do that if you wanted to get there quicker.
