Most website owners want to get more traffic to their websites since they know that they’ll get more sales. Find out how to do this and get targeted traffic - people who will want to buy your services and products. Just follow what is written here and you will see results in a short amount of time.
When people go on the Web, they’re usually searching for something. That’s what is so great about the Internet - there is so much out there and you can find the answer to just about anything by firing up your web browser and doing an online search. So what you need to do is get people to your website and to make that happen, your website needs to rank well in the search engine results.
Do Website Search Engine Optimization
Tuning your website so that it shows up well in search rankings is called SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization. For the purposes of this article, we’re going to assume that you’ve done this work - either done yourself or by someone who specializes in SEO, like a website design firm, who can also give you a nice design. This work includes optimizing page titles with the right keywords, placing the right amount of keywords in your copy, tuning your meta tags, having search engine friendly URLs and so forth. Your domain name should be old enough and if it contains a keyword, that is good, too.
So now it’s time to start ranking better since that is our goal. To do this, you want to get incoming links from other websites. These websites can be related to yours (which is ideal) but that is not necessary. You need more votes than your competition to rank above them. Search engines look at how many links (or votes) point to your website. If you have more than your competition, then that moves your website up in the rankings because it shows that your site is an authority on the topic. Make sure you link using keywords and not linked text that says “click here” because that is the wrong way to do it.
How To Get More Links to Your Website
Getting inbound links to your website can be done in a few ways. The best way is when people just naturally like your website and want to link to it. You do this by providing content that is link worthy. You can also encourage people to bookmark your company website on social bookmarking sites like Delicious.com. Be sure to ask friends and any business associates or vendors to link to your website. And you can always search around for related sites and propose link exchanges. Actually, you may be getting these requests already from other websites - this is why. These link exchanges are really worth doing, so let’s help each other out and do as many as we can. Don’t ignore those requests.
One secret to getting inbound links is with article marketing. What you’re reading right now is me doing article marketing. You take some time and write a useful article that is original and full of good information. It should answer a question that people may have and be useful to them. That’s why you need to take some time doing a little bit of research. That article is then submitted to article directories and you get to include 2 links back to your website down in the resource box at the end of the article.
The key to article marketing is that the article needs to be unique on each article directory that it appears on. It could take hours and hours to write and then re-write an article over and over and doing that is probably not worth your time. You would also then need take time to submit each article, which is also very labor intensive. Well, as you might have guessed, there’s a better way. It’s called the Unique Article Wizard.
What the Unique Article Wizard does is automatically submit your article to many article websites (most rank pretty well and Google knows about them) and also creates original versions of each article for you. I’ve used it many times and I’ve seen traffic and Google’s PageRank go up on those sites - and that’s the idea, right?
It takes a little time to write and submit each article but that time is nothing compared to the benefits that you get back. If you’re not a writer, you can go to sites like Elance.com and hire someone to write an original article for you. When I write, I try to do one of two things - or sometimes both. I use the AIDA method, which stands for:
* Attention
* Interest
* Desire
* Action
That is what your articles should do. They should grab people’s attention with a great headline, then get their interest within the first few sentences, then create desire and then present call to action. What also works well are “how to” articles because, again, that’s what people are doing on the Internet - they’re searching for how to do things a lot of the time.
You will use the wizard where you adjust different versions of each paragraph. Then the magic happens. Your unique article is automatically submitted to directories around the Internet. You can set it to submit 70 or so per day to somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 or more article sites - sometimes many more, like 1600 or more. Nice!
What happens in about 6-8 days is that you start to see more web traffic to your website. Google also sees more sites that link to your site and you get moved up in the results. If you submit just 1 article per week, you would see amazing results and increased traffic. Your goal is to look like an expert in your niche with lots of websites linking to yours. When that happens, people will follow the links they find when they read your good information and will come to you to buy your products or services.
